VINCENT WEBSTER BLACK was born in Missoula, Montana and currently resides in Jefferson County. From a young age, Vincent showed a strong love for writing. In first grade, Vincent wrote a series of over 30 short stories, and his passion for short fiction only grew with time. In middle school, he was introduced to the works of Edgar Allen Poe, falling in love with macabre and the dark, unsettling parts of the mind. He soon fell in love with the stories of Shirley Jackson after reading her short story the Lottery in his freshman English class. He started writing one-act plays for his high school theater group in his sophomore year and would eventually get to see his first full-length play brought to life his senior year. His first novella, Count Valentine, a gothic, religious horror/thriller, was released in October 2022. He released his second pulpy horror novella, Wet & Wicked in February 2026. He is also the creator of the Sundry, MT ARG, which involves a series of videos, documents, and a choose-your-own-adventure game. He plans to continue writing novellas, plays, and short stories as a hobby while he prioritizes his favorite job in the world, raising his daughter.
